In the airport ready to fly!!! Unfortunately the plan is a bit delayed. Quite sad indeed. I'm just ready to be in San Francisco. Patience I guess, Just a little more patience...
At least I filled my tummy with a delicious burrito so I won't get hungry waiting.
I'm excited to chill out with two of my favorite ladies, enjoy some breezy San Francisco weather... just relax. A new era has begun in my life. How cheesy, but hey, why not?!

becoming more and more sure of my path

I love love love this blog The Wedding Chicks Blog. So fantastic, so cute, and completely full of absolutely wonderful ideas. I'm in love. My friends from high school might be surprised... I use to be pretty anti wedding and babies but this site and maternity photography is fast becoming my favorite things. So fast.
I mean, photobooth at a wedding, I know I've seen it before but I just can't get over how wonderful it would be and BELIEVE YOU ME, there WILL be one at my wedding in the future!
And this little dollhouse and heart pillow. The whole wedding theme is just gorgeous (modeled after Disney/Pixar's Up). Picnic blankets laid out on grass with picnic baskets lining the walkway for the bride. Inside the baskets are bubbles and flowers. So frickin cute! And I have a huuuuge weakness for balloons of all types so I'm definitely swooning like a ninny right now.

I'm out of my mind with how cute this wedding is... look at more pictures here!

Eye on the prize

WeHeartIt (exact entry because it doesn't accurately label it past there

As I was performing my daily (hourly) We Heart It crawl I came upon this lovely, lovely collection of ferris wheel pictures. I am so insanely jealous. I love, love, love ferris wheels, or at least taking pictures of them. This just makes me think I need, need, need more polaroid film even though there isn't much left in existence in this size. :( My colors, while pretty, never end up that clear unless I'm using the instax 210 and then it's too clear and normal. Give me muted colors! Give me random brights!

Sigh. Next Thursday is what I have my eye on. I cannot WAIT until I'm in San Francisco with my girls C and R. Many, many laughs to be had.

I really can't wait.

As of today I have 13 full days until I jet off to San Francisco for a nice, relaxing long weekend. I'm really excited and definitely counting down. I'm also on the job hunt. Fun, exciting, a little stressful. I know I have a good resume together but it's hard not to have a little worry in the back of my mind. I'm always like that though.

I slowed down a LOT since last week on my reading. I figure it's because I think I need to do things like write cover letters and such but then I just end up finding a friend to hang out with and I don't read OR get my cover letters written and resumes sent out.

Such is life sometimes. I know I'll come through though. Sometimes it takes a little longer than others.

The Weekend

This weekend has been full of productiveness. Pretty sure that isn't an actual word, or maybe it is because it didn't get spell checked...
What I mean is, the weekend has been productive. I scanned all of my polaroids today and I am currently cropping the scans and straightening them. Went with my sister, our basically adopted sister (her best friend) and our brother to dinner for lil' sis's 18th birthday! Sheesh has time flown by. I was six when she was born. This is crazy. She's 18 and moving to Alabama in less than a month! I'd be devastated if 1) I wasn't planning on heading to Tennessee before her four years there are up and 2) if I saw her more.
Saturday I finished fixing up my resume and sent it to several people. Then looked at photography skills. This week I read 3... yes THREE books.

I also finished

All of them were fantastic. All for different reasons. Fifth Avenue, 5 a.m. I read in one night because I just couldn't put it down. It is the story of Audrey Hepburn, Breakfast at Tiffany's, Truman Capote and the little black dress. It's that and a whole lot more. It is a definite must read for anybody who's seen Breakfast at Tiffany's and liked it or has an appreciation for Audrey.
Perfect Fifths and Queen of Babble were quick reads for fun. They were my easy-peasy but oh so great escape books that both has little lessons that made me think.
As for A Tree Grows in Brooklyn, I don't know what to say other than I was soooo wrong the first time I picked up the book an couldn't get into it. The story pulled me in and wouldn't let me go when I picked it up a second time. The story is so honest and without apology. Gorgeous book.

So all in all this weekend (and this week it seems) have been pretty fulfilling outside of work. I'm going to keep with this habit of doing things and reading books and crossing things off of the "need to do" list as well as the "25 before 25" list.

I'm pretty content tonight.

Hope your weekend was relaxing or productive like mine!

p.s. If you are looking for some music to listen to I currently recommend The Silent Comedy (from this good ol' town of San Diego) and Marina and the Diamonds (not from anywhere close to here).

That is all. Goodnight!

Found Here, Kinda

I get so down during the days when they drag and drag and the people around aren't providing their own portion of positivity. The office is bleak this week. There were only 4 days in this work week but it is going at a snails pace.

At least I have my lovely camera.

Dear SX-70,

I love you. And soon, yes soon I want to have a huuuge family for you to belong to. Right now it is oh so small, but one day... one day my dear.

xoxo

That's all I have for now. I'm keeping my mind away from reality as much as possible when I come home. :)
